Green Party Website Gets Facelift
Seems the Green Party website has had a facelift in the past 24 hours, using new colours (their 4th different shade of green I think since I've been following along) with a contrasting burgundy, and featuring 3 different panels in rotation all highlighting Elizabeth May.

The one I've chosen here links to a video titled "Why do I lead", which is timely given that the Green Party leadership will once again be up for renewal at their next convention, slated for February I believe (in Toronto?). The other two rotating panels feature the head and shoulders shot of May used in the last election, and a more recent photo of her on the coastline probably outside Sidney, BC and highlighting her run in Saanich-Gulf Islands.
My only grumble so far is that I can't figure out how to get to the list of candidates from the main page, but I'm sure I'll find it eventually.

This is a fine looking site graphically, but the content seems to be entirely about Ms. May.
I invite my fellow Greens on a scavenger hunt on the new website.
Try to find the following items, which were on our site before the revamp:
* a list of staff
* a list of our candidates
* a photo of a candidate other than Elizabeth
* a blog or tweet from someone other than Elizabeth
Good luck and have fun!
Cheers, John
Am concerned about the leader-centric focus of all parties' websites and in their other promotional media. Voters elect candidates, not the leader of a party. Ergo, sites such as the GPC's should be alternating images of members of their candidate team.
The next leadership convention is scheduled for August so as to avoid coming around a budget vote or likely non-confidence vote.
As for the website, I know a lot of subsections are still being worked on and new elements will be added. (including a variety of pictures.)
Thanks to the commenters, and others who wrote to say that the convention will be in August.
And thanks for the update, Anon. I'll keep a look out for developments. Have to admit that my interest in websites is rather single-minded when I'm looking for nomination news ;-)
Just put xxxx*
* Elizabeth May selected
